Clustering Brainstorm and Outline: Invention Techniques

 When I began working on my “Where I’m From” essay, I started by creating a cluster/brainstorm of ideas and different things that I remember about my hometown as well as things that happened to me in my hometown. I then used my cluster to make an outline of how I wanted my essay to come together. I’m doing this, it helped me gain my flow of events for my paper as well as helping choose all the ideas in the brainstorm that worked best in my flow to get to my point across. It also help me see the ideas that where good but just not for my point in this paper.
